I've just recently starter learning drums and I still haven't had the chance to go shopping for drum parts or a starter kit. Now I'm thinking of an affordable range....maaybe less than $2000 (without tax) that is fairly acceptable. Any suggestions? I've been suggest the brand Pearl by a clerk at a music store but I'd like to hear your opinions first.

I'm not a drums expert but I've seen some adequate starter kits (snare, crash, highhats, darkrider, bass drum, those two things) of the brand pearl and yamaha for 899$ - 1699$.

Hey, I have a Pearl Export which Cost me £500. I reccomend this kit alot. You would also need some cymbals. For them I would say either Zildjian or Sabian. Because you are just starting you might want to go for the ZBT range. They are quite good for beginners and not that expensive.

Sabian must be a well known brand allof the music stores I visit while looking at guitar pieces, well they all have huge walls of different kinds of sabian simbles.
